Hi! My name is Tom Maxwell and I’m a one-man band at Battle Candy.

I've been a software engineer since 2012 and along the way I've learned design, marketing and copywriting. My desire to learn these disciplines has been rooted in curiosity and my desire to build great tools and products.

Battle Candy began with a teenager thinking it was a cool name. Twenty years later, it represents the fight to build systems and processes that create value - the sweet at the end of a difficult journey.

My goal is to bring research-backed planning, writing, design and development together to provide as much value as possible.

Working directly with you to understand your business, I aim to shape simple but rich content and enquiry routes for your visitors.

My process is built around AI-integrated tools to support writing, design and development, with human review and correction at every level. Building these tools has allowed me to refine my production process to make it more streamlined and not waste any of your time.
